Direct Message (DM)
GlossaryBy OpenCharts TeamPublished
A direct message is a 1:1 chat between two team members in the same organization — separate from channels, with archive controls per participant.
In depth
DMs use a deterministic participant pair so each pair has exactly one DM thread per organization. Archive controls are per-participant — archiving on your side hides the thread for you only.
