Theo Memory

Theo remembers across conversations. It automatically learns your preferences, facts, and instructions — and uses them to personalize future interactions.

How Memory Works

After a conversation, Theo automatically analyzes the exchange and extracts useful information — things like your name, role, preferences, and recurring topics. These are stored as memories and injected into future conversations.

Theo uses memories naturallywithout announcing them. It won't say "I remember that you..." — it simply applies what it knows to give you better answers.

Memory Types

Facts

Personal info about you — your role, company, location, etc.

Preferences

Likes, dislikes, and choices — dark themes, concise responses, etc.

Instructions

Standing behavioral instructions — always use Spanish terms, keep it brief, etc.

Entities

Key people, companies, and tools you reference frequently.

Project Context

Info about specific projects — themes, goals, team members.

Explicitly Saving Memories

"Remember that..."

You can tell Theo to remember something directly:

  • "Remember that I prefer dark mode presentations"
  • "Note that our company brand color is #3b82f6"
  • "Remember my team uses Next.js and Tailwind"

Explicit memories are saved immediately and used in all future conversations.

Managing Memories

You can manage your memories through the chat interface:

  • View — ask "What do you know about me?" to see your stored memories.
  • Pin — important memories can be pinned so they always appear in context.
  • Delete — ask Theo to forget something, or manage memories in settings.
  • Update — if your information changes, tell Theo — it updates the relevant memory.

Privacy

Your memories are private
  • Memories are per-user — never shared with team members or other users.
  • Memories are stored in your account and used only for your conversations.
  • You can delete any or all memories at any time.
  • Current conversation context always takes priority over stored memories if there's a conflict.
The more you chat with Theo, the more personalized it becomes. Memory works best over time — give it a few conversations and you'll notice it starts adapting to your style and preferences.
