Notes: Task Manager

Turn checklist items in your notes into trackable tasks with priorities, due dates, and automatic reminders. Tasks live inside your note and sync to a dedicated task panel for easy management.

Creating Tasks

Tasks are created from checklist blocks in the notes editor. When you insert a checklist item (via the slash command /checklist or the toolbar), each item becomes a trackable task.

Click the checkbox to toggle completion. Completed tasks show a timestamp and strike-through styling.

Click the flag icon on any task block to set or change its priority. The priority badge appears inline next to the task text.

Due Dates

Setting a Due Date

Click the calendar icon on any task to open the date picker. Pick a date and optional time. Tasks with due dates show a colored badge: green for upcoming, amber for today, and red for overdue.

Automatic Reminders

Tasks with due dates automatically receive notifications at four intervals. Each reminder fires once per task — even if the app is closed, the server-side cron job handles delivery.

1 day beforeFires 24 hours before the due date
5 hours beforeFires 5 hours before the due date
15 minutes beforeFires 15 minutes before the due date
OverdueFires when the task passes its due date without completion

Completing Tasks

Check the box to complete a task. The completion timestamp is recorded and the task gets a visual strike-through. You can un-check to reopen a task at any time. Completed tasks stop receiving reminders.
