Presentations: Charts & Data

Add interactive charts to your slides with a built-in data editor, CSV import, multi-series support, and color palette options.

Chart Types

Add a chart element from the slide action bar, then choose one of eight types:

Bar

Vertical bars. Great for comparing categories.

Horizontal Bar

Horizontal bars. Ideal when labels are long.

Stacked Bar

Stacked segments per category for part-to-whole.

Line

Connected data points. Best for trends over time.

Area

Filled area under a line for volume emphasis.

Pie

Circular proportions. Limit to 5–7 slices.

Donut

Pie with a center label for a headline metric.

Scatter

X/Y coordinate plot for correlation analysis.

Data Table Editor

Click a chart element to open the inline data editor. It presents a spreadsheet-like table where you can:

  • Edit cell values directly (labels and numbers).
  • Add or remove rows (data points) and columns (series).
  • Name each series for the legend.
  • Reorder rows via drag-and-drop.

Multi-Series Charts

Bar, Line, and Area charts support multiple series. Each series gets its own color from the active palette. Add a series by clicking the + Column button in the data editor.

Stacked bar charts sum series within each category. Grouped bar charts place series side by side.

CSV Import

Click Import CSV in the data editor to paste or upload CSV data. The first row is treated as headers (series names), and the first column as category labels.

You can also paste directly from a spreadsheet. Tab-separated values are detected automatically.

Color Palettes

Charts inherit colors from the active theme palette by default. You can override individual series colors by clicking the color swatch next to each series name in the data editor.

Choose from preset palettes (Vibrant, Pastel, Earth, Monochrome, Neon) or define custom colors.

Additional Options

Show/hide legend: Toggle legend visibility and position (top, bottom, left, right).

Show data labels: Display values directly on bars, slices, or data points.

Axis labels: Customize X and Y axis titles.

Grid lines: Toggle horizontal/vertical grid lines for readability.

Animation: Charts animate on slide entry during presentation mode.

Pie and donut charts work best with 5–7 slices. For more categories, consider a bar chart or group smaller values into an "Other" slice.
